FlowRoll exists to grow jiu jitsu. We want more people on the mats, and more backing for the everyday grappler ready to take their next step, so anyone who wants to train can start, keep going, and find their own way of moving.

We’re building the world’s largest community-led jiu jitsu brand. That doesn’t mean a brand led by champions, an affiliation or a single academy. It means one built by and for the people who actually fill the mats every week: the white belt on their third class, the blue belt rebuilding after injury, the purple belt who trains before work, and the traveller who drops in at every open mat they can find.

Why we exist

Jiu jitsu changes lives. It builds confidence, resilience and friendships, and it gives people somewhere to go when life gets heavy. But too often the sport makes it harder than it needs to be. Closed doors stop people exploring. Rigid rules, compulsory kit and rolls treated like wars push people out before they’ve found what they came for.

We call this the Dam. Our mission is to help people flow past it.

Back the next step.

10% from every FlowRoll Wave goes back into the sport, through partner academies, events and the FlowRollers we back along the way. A first class, a first competition, a seminar with someone you look up to: every next step we back is another crack in the Dam.

Get more people on the mats.

We make jiu jitsu feel welcoming from day one, with beginner-friendly content, free intro sessions at our events, and honest stories about what training is really like. Everyone starts as a white belt, and everyone belongs here.

Open the doors between gyms.

Your loyalty should be to your growth, not to one door. We champion open mats, drop-ins and cross-training, and we’re building a community of Flowmads who learn wherever they go.

Celebrate the everyday grappler.

Champions already have their voice. We give one to everyone else: the hobbyists, the comebacks, the first-time competitors and the people who show up week after week. We celebrate effort over medals, because effort is the win.

Talk openly about the mental side.

Jiu jitsu has helped so many of us through hard times. We share real stories from the community and point people towards proper support when they need it.

Where we’re going

We’re starting in Caerphilly, South Wales, with one blue belt, a camera and kit we actually want to wear. We’re building towards a global community of FlowRollers, Flow Jam events around the world, and thousands of grapplers backed to take their next step.

Our vision is simple: a jiu jitsu world with open doors, where anyone can start, everyone learns, and every grappler is free to find their own flow.
